Field Trip Opportunities
Howard County Recreation and Parks Heritage Program
The Living History and Heritage Program provides archaeology, history and historic preservation-themed field trips at either the Patapsco Female Institute Historic Park (PFIHP), or the Thomas Isaac Log Cabin and Firehouse Museum. Also included are a Main Street walking tour and a visit to the Ellicott City B&O Railroad Museum.
Jefferson Patterson Park and Museum
Visit the State Museum of Archaeology and the Maryland Archaeological Conservation Laboratory to see Archaeology in its entirety. Visit the recreated Native American Village or rent one of the hands-on traveling trunks.
Historic St. Mary’s City
Visit Maryland’s first English Settlement! Learn about Colonial Life as well as how archaeologists study the past.
